Motion study 06 · ink, then syntax
One movement, in place.
Press and push. The weight settles back, both palms draw down and in, then the weight rolls forward and the hands press out together. Drawn first as ink, then written in Markdown punctuation that blows in, holds the figure long enough to make the move, and is carried off by it.

The characters blow in from the left and gather into the pose, the figure presses both palms out, and the push throws them off along its own line. The leading hand goes first and the rear foot last, arriving and leaving, so the figure fills and empties in the direction of the movement.

A robed version of the same figure is parked at /tai-chi-robe.html: the construction is worth returning to, but the cloth does not yet move like cloth. A working study for a Way of Markdown brand mark, published so it can be looked at on a real screen. Not finished and not linked from anywhere. Both versions are drawn from one shared body, so they cannot drift apart. Under prefers-reduced-motion each mark holds its settled pose and the review controls are hidden.
